Who is Marvin Tatenda Mukuyu?

Marvin Tatenda Mukuyu is a Graphic Designer and a Model who has a passion for the fashion industry. Born in a family of six, Marvin suffered from meningitis at an early stage which left him hearing impaired. But through the love and support of his family Marvin grew up knowing he could reach any height that he set his heart on. He was trained by Top Model Zimbabwe, and he started modeling in 2013. In that same year He became the first person to win the Mr Deaf Zimbabwe title and he is still the current title holder. Marvin has worked with the deaf to try and bring awareness to the community that being deaf is not an inability to be productive. He has appeared on Television and Radio, working together with the Ministry of Youth to bring about this enlightenment. Today more programmes and platforms for the deaf have been created.

He is also a Model for Econet and Jet Stores respectively. Marvin was also priviledged to participate in the SADC fashion week which was held in Harare were he was awarded as Inspirational Model Ambassador. He was also awarded with a Life time Achievement Award at the Zimbabwe Models Awards 2015. Marvin's hobbies include spending most of his time playing Rugby. He looks forward to progressing in his Career as a Model and getting new opportunities not only for himself, but also to inspire the deaf community to reach their goals.
